. Illustrateur : LA ROCHA (Luis Eduardo de). (illustrator). Huile sur carton, signée au verso du cachet d'atelier, (1910), 32,5 x 21 cm. Luis Eduardo de LA ROCHA, peintre d'origine andalouse, né à Madrid le 3 janvier 1888 (Ecole Espagnole). Cet élève de l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Madrid, de l'Académie de San Fernando se forme, à son arrivé à Paris, et travaille dans les ateliers de P.-A. Laurens, Guillonnet et J. Adler. Il a illustré des livres et a dessiné des costumes pour la danseuse Térésina et des décors de danse (Benezit). Cet arbre fourche que LA ROCHA réalise apparaît magistral au milieu d'un sous-bois baigné d'un soleil printanier. Sa touche est résolument impressionniste et son jeu de lumière rend cette scène tout à fait animée. Infimes griffures marginales. uvre originale.
