Il appelait la République "la Rage-Publique" et on lui doit des néologismes assez extraordinaires, tels l'âne-archide, vinicultivrogne, pataticulture, suicéide. L'Archi-Monarchéide est le Chant du cygne de Paulin Gagne (1808-1876) : « Après avoir inventé plusieurs idées de progrès, parmi lesquelles je compte le phylloxéracide Gagne à l'ail, qui détruirait tous les phylloxéras des vignes et des corps humains, je suis le plus grand inventeur de salut universel en procamant l'archi-monarque, qui offre la panacée immortelle la plus vitale. Gagne vieil avocat, ex-bâtonnier de l'ordre, Ex-fier premier adjoint, est fulgurant d'Elise Moreau, femme écrivain le plus grand.
