This is a superb collection with general introductions, authored by acknowledged maritime historians. Lavishly illustrated in colour and black and white plates with maps as called for. There are also specially commissioned artworks. Definitely worth having in a nautical history library. This is just one title of the complete set of twenty two titles that I am selling on this site. This book provides a concise account of the Spanish Armada of 1588 and the naval struggle between Spain and England in the late sixteenth century. There are numerous period maps and other illustrations, mostly in colour, including some fine colour profiles of ships, and some good contemporary pen and ink drawings. This is an accessible, well designed book. Ref TFC.
