Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Fine. See scans and description. San Francisco: Two Women Boxing with Gift Works - Chronicle Books, undated but circa 1996. Two Women Boxing Collage - Assorted Note Cards and Envelopes. ISBN 0811813304. Folding stiff cardboard case with velcro closures, 6 5/16" x 5 1/4" when closed; assorted cards and envelopes inside. See scans. Fine, and in fact as new, with just tiny micro-abrasion to the outer perimeter of the case (zoom ons cans), probably as delivered new to the store. Contents new and immaculate; flawless. There are in fact 19 cards, and 20 envelopes; 20 cards are billed on the outside, but 19 arrived. These boxes were hand assembled and filled - by the 'Two Women Boxing' (see below) - and an error was presumably made in that process. All impeccable. Established by Julie Cohn and a here-unnamed friend in 1983 in Dallas, TX, Two Women Boxing was a small commercial art and graphics company. Cohn says their first project "involved making very labor-intensive edition boxes for a photographer; I told my partner we should call it (the company) 'Two Women Boxing'. It stuck." The company has been closed since the late nineties, though Cohn continues to work in the graphic design field, under her name. Though the TWB products were always popular, neither Cohn nor, apparently, anyone else is exactly sure why these items are so much in demand as collectibles - it's been a natural and organic process, though the artful skills of the pair, and the current extreme rarity of their output, are certainly major elements in that equation. See all scans. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box, of course. L91.
