Tragically only a short time vicar at Cardynham but such was his influence and legacy that the bishop of Truro pleaded that this short biography be published to remind us of what is a true Parish priest. Includes his early life, his time at Wells, letters and sermons. Tissue guarded frontispiece is of Athelstan Coode. The book in cream boards is in overall good condition but has been chewed on top edge, bottom corners bumped. Pages aged and all but top edge of text block uneven cut (deckle).There is an inscription on free end paper. A very scarce copy printed to raise funds for St. Mewbred's church, Cardinham. Size - 198mm. x 135mm.(8vo.). Pp.255.
