Printed wrappers, stapled. 20 unnumbered pages. Wrappers toned at edges, first and last leaf of text tanned due to possibly inexpensive war era paper; tiny neat ownership name on top edge of verso of the upper wrapper, else a very good or better copy of this fundamental American child rearing pamphlet. First separate edition; reprinted from The Journal of Pediatrics, October 1945. With gentle good sense Dr. Benjamin Spock assured new mothers that their babies were normal whatever they did; that the most seemingly insurmountable issue can be weathered by following what the baby tells you. Good advice, even in the 21st century.

Covers are lightly toned browned, with faint crease at one corner, first and last leaf of text browned due to offsetting from covers, else a near fine copy. *OCLC* lists a single holding of this offprint (Tulsa).
