Raffaello Lambruschini (1788-1873) fu uno dei principali esponenti del liberalismo toscano nel periodo risorgimentale, celebre soprattutto per il suo impegno in campo pedagogico; diede anche un contributo significativo al rinnovammento dell'agricoltura toscana e al "sollievo" delle condizioni delle classi rurali.

Premessavi una breve istruzione ai Bacai di Raffaello Lambruschini. Opera corredata del grande quadro in litografia e colorato del Freschi di 27 incisioni in legno, di quadri sinottici, e del ragguaglio dei pesi e misure d'Italia.
