Contact seller4-star sellerFirst Edition. Carl W. Bertsch dustjacket art. Judging from the dustjacket illustration of a man shooting a gun at someone in an auto accident, this is a novel of some intrigue, but is not listed in Hubin. The jacket copy reads: "Feeling himself set apart by his affliction Chan took the devious back road and entered the most dan…gerous game of this queer time of ours". Perhaps a reference to rum-running during prohibition. Near Fine in near Very Good dustjacket, shallow spine end chipping and wear, partial split at front flap edge.
