Spine browned, wrappers slightly dust-soiled, else a very good copy. A comic novel, inscribed to the actress most famous for her performance as Miss Havisham in David Lean's 'Great Expectations'. Pinget, a close friend of Samuel Beckett, had translated 'All that Fall' in 1957; Beckett returned the favour with his adaptation of Pinget's radio play, 'La Manivelle', into 'The Old Tune'.
