Another great effort by Scott Meredith as Editor. This excellent saddlebag (number 4 of 6) of western stories includes "War Party" by James Warner Bellah. The story first appeared in The Saturday Evening Post June 19, 1948. It was the basis for the John Ford film "She Wore A Yellow Ribbon" starring John Wayne, Joanne Dru and Ben Johnson. Another story "The Bretnall Fued was supposed to be filming at Columbia but I can't find any other evidence except for Scott Meredith mentioning it in the intro for the story.
