A fabulous print of Barbarella standing seductively in front of a futuristic Space city, her golden locks complemented beautifully by the power of the Sun behind her. Milo Manara was commissioned by Dino De Laurentiis to make a series of studies for a potential remake of the 1967 film classic featuring Jane Fonda as Barbarella. The result of these drawings by Manara was fabulous, but unfortunately the film was never remade due to the production attempting to secure an $80 million budget from Universal Pictures. This beautiful print is a copy reserved for the artist, as indicated by the handwritten P.A. in the left hand corner. The print has also been fully hand signed by Milo Manara. (1.01). Pas de couverture. Condition: Très bon. Encre de Chine, rehauts et corrections de gouache blanche. Au format imposant et atypique de 95 x 36 cm. (tout de même !). Vraisemblablement réalisé pour la prépublication dans France-Soir et, plus tard, pour la page 35 de l'album « Le Semble-Lune », publié en 1977 chez Pierre Horay. Présence centrale de Barbarella à la 2e case, dans son look iconique de combinaison moulante. Encrage dense et parfaitement lisible, papier légèrement gondolé par endroits (lié au grand format et à l'encrage), quelques traces ou frottements marginaux sans impact sur l'image. Signé par Forest dans la case centrale. Pièce d'exception, rare dans ce format, illustrant tout le style baroque et théâtral de Forest. Signé par l'illustrateur.

Barbarella : Photographie de David Hurn en tirage original couleurs, au format 26 x 20,3 cm, prise en 1967 pendant le tournage du film de Roger Vadim, d'après la bande dessinée homonyme de Jean-Claude Forest. Sur la photo on voit Jane Fonda dans le rôle de Barbarella et John Phillip Law dans celui de l'ange Pygar. David Hurn fut le photographe officiel sur le plateau de tournage de Barbarella. Photo en superbe état, avec minuscule trace de pliure au bord supérieur. Précieux exemplaire, enrichi, d'une dédicace autographe, signée, de John Phillip Law et Pygar. Complet du certificat d'authenticité, établi par un Expert près la cour d'appel de Paris, Membre et administrateur à la CNE (Compagnie Nationale des Experts), Membre du SLAM (Syndicat de la librairie ancienne et moderne).
