A murder is committed using this sword-stick, the suspects being a millionaire, a young Army officer, a charming girl, and a man who prides himself on his skills as an amateur detective.Published in the U.S. as 'The Bartenstein Mystery'.By J. Fletcher, a prolific author who wrote more than two hundred and thirty novels, most of which were detective fiction.Undated, dated from the list of Fletcher's titles, the most recent being 'The Guarded Room', which was published in 1931.The 50th thousand. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is a little discoloured. A few light marks to the boards. Front board is a little bowed. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good. book.
