Condition: good. The City of Batavia in the Island of Java & Capital of all the Dutch Factories and Settlements in the East Indies.(Old Prints, 18th Century Prints, Engraved Prints, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Java, Batavia, Jakarta, Bird's Eye View, Sailing Ships). Issued 1754, London for the London Magazine. Mid 18th century engraved birds-eye city view. A remarkable level of detail which includes hundreds of buildings, garden layouts and many sailing ships and boats. Nice looking example, pleasing age patina, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. Original fold lines as issued. Sheet measures c. 8 1/2" H x 10 3/4" W. Engraved area measures c. 7" H x 8 3/4" W.[R29204].
