Disraeli was a British statesman, Conservative politician and writer. He served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom twice, and made the Conservatives the party most identified with the British Empire and military action to expand it. Three-quarter leather with gilt rules to covers, five raised bands and gilt title to spine. Green marbled pastedown and endpapers, green ribbon page marker, top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Corners lightly rubbed. With Hatchard's bookshop mark and light pencil number on free front endpaper, 6 ¼" high, 179 pp. No other markings, no bookplates. Pages are clean and bright, binding is tight. A handsome copy.
