Very clean burgundy cloth boards with stamped leafy texture decoration over all, bright gilt lettering on spine. No bumping or wear, but 1/4" or less tiny closed tea…r at center base of spine. Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean and bright. INSCRIBED presentation copy: "To Don: Holiday greeting with pleasant recollections of your many courtesies to my family and to me" - J. F. Devine - Jan. 1934". 66 illustrations (photographs) and 7 maps. 336 pgs. "This is an account of the principal rovings of a Mediterranean cruise party, and an added appendix of a tour into sixteen countries in Central Europe. It is a meager description of the world-renowned spots visited, taking up in a brief way the history of the countries, the genesis of the people and our daily doings" (from the title page).
