Add to basketCondition: Good. Hampel Jozsef (illustrator). First Edition. Very scarce Hungarian first edition of Beau Geste (undated but 1930] in publisher's plain card wrappers lettered in black. Numerous excellent full-page plates in sepia by Hampel Jozsef. Vertical creases to spine and general grubbiness to covers from handling but quite sound and surprisingly clean internally. Wren was hugely popular in Hungary and early copies like this, when they do occasionally turn up, are generally in a wretched state, having been read to death. This copy wouldn't win any beauty contests but is still comfortably the best I've found in 15 years of living here.
