From the preface: ''The early chapters discuss bees as they exist without man's interference, thus giving the foundation on which the practice of beekeeping rests. Regional differences within the United States. The first step in beekeeping. The manipulation of bees. Spring management. Swarm control and increase. The production of extracted-honey.
