Condition: Fair. No Edition Remarks. 632 pages. No dust jacket. Navy cloth with gilt lettering to spine and decoration to front board. Contains black and white illustrated plates. Front pages are slightly loose. Pages are lightly tanned with moderate foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Mild mottling to free endpapers and paste-down edges. Heavy cracking to gutters and slight cracking to hinges, with exposed netting. Binding is quite loose. Occasional grey thumb-marking present throughout. Plates are moderately tanned and foxed, with small chips to edges. Brown water staining, light insect damage and a few small nicks along text block edge. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with minor bumping and scuffing to corners and, mild rubbing to surfaces. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Scuffed label on rear board. Faint insect damage to front ad rear boards. Gilt is bright and clear, with pale liquid drops on front board.

Condition: Good. hardback, large 8vo, iv,632pp, numerous woodcut illustrations, page edges browned, front inner hinge cracked with glued repairs, contents clean and sound, original blue cloth, gilt decorations and titles, corners and edges bumped and scuffed, cloth torn at base of spine, overall Good condition.

Some wear to cover with 2 small closed tears at top & bottom edges of spine. Some loss of the black colour to cover. No inscriptions. Heavy book (nearly 2 Kilos) so Postage will be a little extra. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
