Condition: Fair. No Edition Remarks. 632 pages. No dust jacket. Navy cloth with gilt lettering to spine and decoration to front board. Contains black and white illustrated plates. Front pages are slightly loose. Pages are lightly tanned with moderate foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Mild mottling to free endpapers and p…aste-down edges. Heavy cracking to gutters and slight cracking to hinges, with exposed netting. Binding is quite loose. Occasional grey thumb-marking present throughout. Plates are moderately tanned and foxed, with small chips to edges. Brown water staining, light insect damage and a few small nicks along text block edge. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with minor bumping and scuffing to corners and, mild rubbing to surfaces. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Scuffed label on rear board. Faint insect damage to front ad rear boards. Gilt is bright and clear, with pale liquid drops on front board.
