The images reflect personal feelings and evoke a place of mystery, legend, history and great beauty. Ron Frampton has spent a lifetime living and working in his native West Country. An intimate knowledge and love of the area, combined with his acknowledged expertise in monochrome photography, has enabled him to produce this unique book of eighty superb black and white photographs. The images depict buildings, people and the landscape within an area of Dorset, Devon and Somerset. Eighteen wessex tales are included, covering both people and buildings. Shepherds, fisherman carpenters, farmers and country characters tell their stories, alongside their portraits. Mills, chapels, tithe barns, almshouses and tollhouses are amongst the buildings photographed and their stories recorded. Ref GGG 1. Signed by Author(s).
