Roger Duvoisin (illustrator). First Edition with the publisher's "A" on the copyright page. The hinges were cracked and have been repaired with linen hinging tape. Covers are lightly soiled and tanned/foxed around to edges. Spine ends are softened and corners gently rolled. There is foxing throughout the book and the text and illustrations are generally clean and unmarked. A portion of the back flap of the dj has been attached to the front paste-down. Bookplate of the previous owner on the first free endpaper. Two pages are dog-eared at the top corners. The binding is firm. 120 pages. American author Weston was born in India. She won a Newbery honor award for this work. Roger Duvoisin was a Swiss-American author ad illustrator and Caldecott Medal Winner. Illustrated in shades of green, brown, and white.
