Ownership details to the front pastedown. No marks or other inscriptions. Maroon boards are exceptionally clean and bright. Dust jacket has minor edge wear with an internally repaired closed tear to the top corner of the front panel. VG+ book in VG jacket. A very good copy.

Page edges and endpapers have some light browning but otherwise there are only very slight signs of age and wear. Jacket is price clipped, has a half inch closed tear in the top edge of the front panel which has some creasing around it. There is also a one inch closed tear in the bottom edge of the front panel, some corner and edge rubbing and a little discolouration to the rear panel. Jacket illustration by William Randell. First edition, first printing. Original cloth in dustwrapper. A very good copy with bright and clean boards. The contents are clean throughout but with a small ink name to the front free endpaper. Internally; some yellowing to the free front end paper, otherwise near fine with no other marks or inscriptions. The un-clipped 10s 6d net jacket is in near fine condition, some extremely light foxing to the front and rear fold overs, and verso of jacket. A coupe of very light vertical creases to front panel. The rear panel is clean, with some very light rubbing which has left some small dark marks. A very nice copy.
