Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. This 7.375 x 9.25 inch, 183 page hardcover book - with no just jacket - is the assumed first edition of this title by the Saalfield Publishing Company - with the usual lack of edition statement by Saalfield. This copy features blue cloth over boards with gilt lettering on front panel - and a gilt decorated goat butting its head into a fence on front panel - with black titling on spine and black goat-head on back panel. The binding in at least very good condition with just touches of wear showing in the blue cloth at the corners, spine edges, and spine crown and foot. The interior pages show two inked inscriptions on the front free endpaper - and laid in loose - are six colorful paper butterflies with the printed small indicator - "Bishop's Butterfly Candy Bar 5 cents." The text pages present the popular Billy Whiskers in another adventure out west - with the six full-page illustrations by F. J. Murch - and with numerous smaller black-and-white illustrations decorating the pages. The text pages are in all but near fine condition with no markings or damage - with just a touch of age-toning to the paper. A nice copy of this Billy Whiskers series of books.
