Dust Jacket: In poor condit…ion. As is. Large loss at top edge of front cover & rear cover. Tail of spine lacking as well as bottom edge of front cover. Rear cover's top half is torn & needs repair. Hinges are toned; front flap's hinge exhibits tearing. Yellow lettering toned, but legible. Top corner of front flap lacking (does not appear to have been purposefully price-clipped). Please see photos. Book: In fair condition. Navy cloth boards scuffed at edges and worn/bumped at corner.s Head and tail of spine bumped; gilt lettering moderately soiled/dulled, but still legible. Soiling found at head of spine & top edge of front board. Normal toning throughout text-block; mostly at edges of leaves. Binding tight and intact. Please see photos. Richard Nathaniel Wright (1908 1960) was an American author of novels, short stories, poems, and non-fiction. Much of his literature concerns racial themes, especially related to the plight of African Americans during the late 19th to mid 20th centuries suffering discrimination and violence. His best known works include the novella collection Uncle Tom's Children (1938), the novel Native Son (1940), and the memoir Black Boy (1945).
