Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Vernon Stokes (illustrator). Undated circa 1925. Slim 4to, pp60 complete with 13 coloured and 11 black and white illustrations. Hardcover no dust jacket. Pictorial paper covered boards in very good condition with a little rubbing to top, tail and sides of spine. Inside starting on pp3 but binding still solid and tight with all pages in bright and clean condition. A lovely copy of one of the scarcer titles in the "Blobb" series.

Some ink scribbles on front cover. Staples rusted. No signatures, names, stamps or scribbles etc. internally. A 1" tear to blank margin of one leaf.; Uncommon. 59 pages. Illustrated papered boards. Page dimensions: 300 x 248mm. 13 full page colour illustrations within the pagination, also full page black-and-white illustrations. Children's story, told in rhyming quatrains. Main characters are dogs. Cover title: "Blobbs Day at the Stores".; Folio.

Blobbs has the appearance of an English bulldog. Large format 12" x 10". Buff pictorial boards show Blobbs on weighing scales with his friend Sam. Colour & b/w illustrations. Blobbs and Sam get up to mischief at the sales. Covers are edge worn with chipping to spine. Covers slightly grubby. Some light foxing and fingering else contents clean. A nice copy of a scarce book. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!
