Condition: Very good. - Over 50 words typed on Dean Young's personal stationery illustrated with a vignette of Dagwood at bottom left. Dean Young writes to Ms. Carol Kyne of the "Community Players Celebrity Auction" enclosing the "original daily strip of January 5, 1970." [Not here present] which she may use "as you see fit in your up and coming celebrity auction." He closes by wishing her "tremendous success". Signed "Dean Young". Folded for mailing, the letter was once mounted with remnants of brown paper adhering to the top and bottom edges of the verso. Very good. The American cartoonist Dean Young (born 1938) inherited the popular comic strip "Blondie" from his father Chic Young. While he will sometimes draw the "roughs", Dean is head "gag" writer for the strip on which he has collaborated with several artists including Jim Raymond, Mike Gersher, Stan Drake, Denis Lebrun, and John Marshall.

Natalici's portfolio includes sought after images of a young Patti Smith, Blondie, Talking Heads, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, The Ramones and more. As an Art Director, Fernando has played a key role in creating memorable visuals for historic NY venues such as CBGB's, The Mudd Club, Area and Danceteria.
