A fun picture book for early readers by McLoughlin, telling the story of a mischievous school boy named Bob and his antics in the classroom. Includes six (6) full page chromolitho plates, two of which combine to span an entire opening and depict the chaos of the classroom. There are six pages of large text rhymes, including two printed on the inside of the wrappers. The wrappers depict a fun scene, including a strict schoolmaster, a cheeky boy playing with a candle flame, another boy tying something to the schoolmaster's coat, and an "Idle Boy" in the corner on a stool with a dunce cap. Single vol. (10.5" by 9.25"), ten unnumbered leaves printed on one side only, including 6 plates of chromolitho illus., in original illus. wrps. Good to very good. Spine worn with short tears and chipping. Some staining/spotting, light dust soiling.
