Wrappers. Condition: Near Fine. 32 pages (including front and rear covers). Paperback. Texts in English. Minor wear along the spine edge, with a faint age related tanning. But still a very crisp, tight, sharp, and clean condition copy, with virtually no evidence of having been read or admired. Staple-bound with illustrated paper covers. Dozens of black and white photographs of nude, athletic men posed in numerous positions. Posing straps protect the more sensitive viewers from having genitals forced visually upon them (and protects AMG from censors) Models include Jovan Martinovic, David Stubbs, Irvin Koszewski, and others. "Is the so-called 'anti-smut' campaign communist inspired?" "Why America does not want to solve its dope problem." Ostensibly advertising films or packets of images of the models for the viewer's personal use, the Physique Pictorial magazine historically provided an outlet for numerous gay men throughout the country and remains an important chapter in the history of homosexuality in the United States. Perhaps seen as innocent camp and kitsch now, each issue still packs an erotic punch that is hard to beat. Book.
