Condition: Near Fine. 8vo. 21.5 by 14 cm. Unpaginated, 28 pages, plus wraps. No title page. Advertisement for courses given by National Health Products, who we presume is also the publisher of the brochure. Besides the illustration on the cover showing two classic competition poses, there are six vignette illustrations within depicting a bodybuilder doing various exercises. Also, each letter of the alphabet is introduced with a decorative letter, shaped in a pared down Fraktur Gothic type, but also subtly ornamented with weights. Many of the words would be known to gym goers, but there are also words that are dated and now obscure: "Bone 'n Blitz", "Iron Game", etc. We haven't counted the number of words, but probably just a little shy of 300 words (and short phrases). Scarce -- only a single listing on OCLC First Search, at the Stark Center in Texas, and none found in commerce on the date of composing this description. Light soiling and wear. Wraps (Mid-weight card). Stapled.
