A number of grammatical and more extensive Annotations in the authors hand throughout the book. Small annotation to the front of the book stating that ' pages torn out by someone who borrowed the book in 1942 didn't like the forward' . Most of the forward has been removed. Missing the original dust jacket but Henry Williamson has used the reverse of a book of Communism as the new jacket and added the words in large red letters 'Authors File Copy March 1936 Stolen from Henry Williamson'. He has also added to the rear wrapper flap the words ' This is a cover of a book on communism? HW having a little joke!?'. Probably one of the most significant books from the authors library as it controversially effected his reputation during and after his lifetime. The books forward that praised Hitler, Fascism and Germany haunted him for the rest of his writing career and still has an effect upon his standing within the literate world today. Also includes an inscribed Henry Williamson Card in the hand that appears to be by Cynthia Mosley quoting Sir Oswald Mosley and a copy of the 1st edition with the original wrapper as a Flax of Dreams reference. From a large collection of Henry Williamson's and his family's books. Includes a specially commissioned small bookplate affixed inside the book confirming this. The book is just about good. The cloth boards are heavily worn in places and rubbed. The internal pages are well-thumbed and with light loss to some especially the early ones. Rear gutter cracked and repaired professionally. The other book is very good and with a very good wrapper. More images can be taken upon request. Ref17753/14310. Signed by Author(s).
