Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Near Fine dj. First Edition. [nice copy with no discernible wear; appears unread; the jacket shows only light handling wear, and has a short vertical surface scratch at the bottom of the rear panel]. (B&W photographs) INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author on the front endpaper in June 1998. Memoir by the founding publisher of National Lampoon magazine and thus of the N.L. media mini-empire, which rode high in the 1970s (culminating with the success of the movies NATIONAL LAMPOON'S ANIMAL HOUSE and NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION, both of which he produced), but petered out gradually throughout the 1980s and 1990s. The book's title repurposes the tagline from one of the magazine's most famous (and notorious) covers, which threatened (with a similar photo) that "If You Don't Buy This Magazine, We'll Kill This Dog." Signed by Author.
