Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Hardcover with DJ. Bound in yellow cloth with black lettering on the spne. Binding is good and clean and tight, with only a little fading from age. DJ is printed in black and yellow, with some fading and edgewear, but overall quite good. Sloane has drawn and decorated the entire front endpaper, with a large pencil drawing of a cloud with sun behind it, and small airplane below. He's written 'to Sherwood Harris from Connie' on the cloud, and signed his name below, and added 'New Milford Conn." No date on the title page. Copyright page dated only 1956. 109 pages full of Sloane's distinctive drawings and clear explanations of the science and folklore of weather systems and phenomena.
