Condition: Good. First edition (hardback). 12mo (17cm by 11cm), vii, 97pp, 6pp adverts. Original blue cloth, gilt titling and design to the front board. Light scuffing to the extremities of the binding, preliminary pages foxed, light pencil annotations to the preliminary pages. Overall, this copy is in good condition. The "bridg…e" referred to in the title of this book is bridge whist, the earliest form of the game in which spades were the lowest suit. This first edition (1904) is rare; an American edition was published by Brentano's of New York in 1905.
