Haliburton"s savage attack on Lord Durham"s Report (1838), a reflection of his hardening Tory attitudes after the 1837-8 Rebellion in the Canadas. He was angered at the British abandonment of British North America and had contempt for the liberals and reformers who were gaining influence in British affairs. A small piece of the top of the spine missing, a few water satins to the front board and a small tear to the bottom of the spine.
