Rebound in full leather, retaining the original pages. Complete with all plates as called for. Internally, some age-related tanning and sporadic foxing throughout, but no other markings or inscriptions, and the pages within are neat and complete. Slight loss to upper corner of preface leaf, very occasional light spotting. A popular account by colonial governor Sir Francis Bond Head (1793-1875) of his 1832 visit to the German spa of Langen-Schwalbach (probably undertaken for the sake of his wife's health) first published in 1834.
