Fantastic full color chromolithograph illustrations accompanying short lists of words beginning with each letter of the alphabet, with a few brief verses; including a Bear, Clown, Duck (Ente), Hen (Hahn), Hunter (Jaeger), Teacher (Lehrer), Luftballon, Nutcracker, Peacock (Pfau), Turkey (Truthahn), Cyclist (Velocipedist), and Goat (Ziege). Two letters per page, with j as a variant of i and x, y, z on the final page. Each page is printed on one side only. Hardcover, narrow quarter red cloth over full color front board, plain grey rear board.
