"Sales/posting to the USA suspended". Hard cover dust wrapper, 270ppp. Light wear to dw and boards, free board corners mildly bumped; a good copy. As an insight in to the mindset of the military back in the day, as well as the command and control structure, the information in this book is invaluable. The first two-thirds of the book is an historical insight focussing the cold war, the way the US (was) protecting itself and the problems and deficiencies of communications in the event of a nuclear strike. Pretty frightening reading when you realise that although the US talked of a limited nuclear response, the reality was that once the first bombs landed, the likelihood was that the US would go all-in on attacking the Soviet Union. Highlights risks and deficiencies in the system.
