A few very minor marks, very slight rubbing,slight scattered foxing. VG. With presentation inscription signed by author on ffep: "Gordon Waterfield, with best wishes from the author, Henrietta Devonshire, August 1929". Gordon Waterfield was almost certainly the British journalist, broadcaster and author (1903-1987), who wrote books on Egypt, Aden and Layard of Nineveh. He is best known for his book "What Happened in France?", documenting his experiences in France as a journalist during the Second World War.
