Features two INSCRIBED notes from the author pasted in, as well as part of the jacket flap: looks like the recipients shared passage with the author somewhere on the S.S. Minnetonka. Stated fourth printing, still in the original month of publication. Hardcover, full red ribbed cloth, gilt titling. Corners and edges a bit worn, couple of tiny stains and small nicks on spine and covers; still a nice copy with bright gilt. Text clean; xiv, 277 pages, many b/w photo plates all present as called for, illustrated map endsheets. Size: 6" by 8¾". Inscribed by the Author.
