Divided postcard with correspondence stamp and postmark from 1947 on the back of the card. 1 pp. nice sharp corners No creases Posted with message.

Hardcover. Condition: Poor. Light brown leather covers with gold lettering on a black back ground on the spine, which is bright. Covers exhibit very heavy wear and fraying on corners and spine ends. Hinges are cracked and just barely attached. Heavy wear and chipping to edges. Large tear on the upper edge of the spine. Heavy wear on the spine and raised bands. Heavy shelf wear on the covers with one small chip in the middle of the front cover. Light foxing, yellowing and soiling to page ends. Heavy foxing and yellowing to inside front and back covers, ffep's and bfep's. The text and the many illustrations including the ones that are full page color are yellowed due to age. Otherwise clean and unmarked. "A true and chilling history of Gen. Custer's famous 'Last Fight on the Little Big Horn, with Sitting Bull" and so much more. All of our books are individually inspected and described. Never ex-library unless explicitly described as such.

Condition: Very Good -. 1st Edition. 701 pages, frontis illustrations, bound in original ½ leather binding, raised bands on spine with gilt lettering, marbled page edges and marbled end-papers, rubbing and soiling to cover, light foxing, overall a better than good copy of an extremely difficult title to find in the deluxe binding and especially so in the first printing. This is the second copy I've had in this binding and the only one in the first printing.Rader 2373, Six-Guns 1475, "Has much on Captain Jack, the Modoc outlaw.".

Paperback. 117p., newsprint textblock, paperbound in densely printed 6.5x5 inch russet wraps, textblock is extremely acidic and fragile with a crease and a short split to last leaf, back cover wrap similarly split and creased with a minuscule chip, front cover detached, slightly edgeworn. A good copy, still handleable and rather attractive with its announcements arranged around a central image of a gentleman in bowler hat, printed black on terra-cotta. One illustration only, the bloke on the cover, presumably owner Woodard or Shanklin. Sample ad, for "Josie M., No. 195. Bay mare: 15 hands high; foaled 1889; owned by L.H. Smyth. Note.--this mare has unusual style, finish, speed and but for being blind in one eye would be exceptionally desirable to mate. The eye was knocked out when a two-year-old, but does not affect the other.".

A very good, strong hinged, unmarked copy with a small fraternal (?) plate on the front fixed end paper and wear at its corners and spine ends. This volume chronicles the career of Corporal James Tanner and the history of the New York Volunteers covering its battles at Yorktown, Williamsburg, Fredericksburg, and Gettysburg. It also contains excellent information on the Black Hills and Capt. Jack Crawford.

Jack worked for a number of the well-known book dealers in Los Angeles, including Dawsons and Jake Zeitlin. Inscribed by the author on front free endpaper: '20.x.'63, to Jake - Remember when we caught a book thief? (and let him go). Warmest regards, John Friend.' First edition (first printing). A fine hardcover copy in brown leather covers with gilt ruling on front cover and gilt lettering on red on spine.

Soft cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Oblong 4to, printed pictorial wrappers in red and black, piece lacking from upper left corner of lower cover, resulting in loss on a couple of words, 24pp. text proper + single inserted leaf at the end, to use to subscribe to Crawford's own ALASKA PROSPECTING AND MINING CORPORATION (this venture, into which he'd invested enormous sums of money - his and others' - wound up being a consummately fradulent scheme, with not a single prospective asset to the name). Illustrated throughout. Captain Jack Crawford served in the Civil War and carved out a future career path for himself during 1875-76 as a journalist and as a promoter for the Black Hills country, where he travelled and scouted. Later, he had a brief fling with Buffalo Bill Cody on the stage, but he eventually wound up excelling on the touring lecture circuit, and that guise is what he is today best remembered for. A good+ copy.

Custer's famous "Last Fight" on the Little Big Horn with Sitting Bull published hard cover in pebbled orange cover boards with impressive gold gilt illustration by Parks Brothers 388 Broadway New York 1882 as stated on title page, copyright date 1881 as stated.There are 548 pages with colored frontispiece and other full page colored illustrations, internal looseness to binding with 2.5 inch tear to lower edge of rear inner hinge, uneven outer page edges (see photo) and weak attachment of some of the pages, yellow end papers without any handwriting.There is some softness beneath the spine cover, page 24 has a crease and the illustration of Wild Bill and the Cinnamon Bear on page 39 has been torn out, in all what has survived is in good condition, a minimum of foxing and the illustrations are bright, my guess is that the internal binding string may have loosen causing weakness to this book, a scare publication that is seldom found in very good condition.
