Hardcover. First Edition; First Printing. Book is VG or better except that fifty pages or so have the top corner torn away where someone, probably a child marked the place with a tear rather than a dogear. There is some light wear to the book otherwise, but this is a very attractive copy. The jacket appears to be from a later is…sue and has wear, tape repairs, chips, tears and scuffs. While it is still presentable, it is in the Fair to Good range. This was one of Ruth Plumly Johnson's contributions to the Oz canon and is the first of these books not to have any color illustrations beyond the cover art. ; Cover Art and B&W Drawings; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 306 pages. Illustrated by John R. Neill (illustrator).
