One wanted to see him about some corporation law, and the other had a damage claim. It turned out it was the tramp who wanted to see him about corporation law. And that, in turn, merged into the mystery of one of the famous Lost Mines of the desert region of Southern California, a fabulously rich gold deposit, discovered more than half a century ago, then lost, and lying untouched year after year, waiting only for chance and the ingenuity of Perry Mason to bring it back into the limelight Erle Stanley Gardner (1889-1970), was an American lawyer and author. He is best known for the Perry Mason (played by Raymond Burr in the long running tv series between 1957-66) detective stories, but he wrote numerous other novels and shorter pieces and also a series of nonfiction books, mostly narrations of his travels through Baja California and other regions in Mexico. Quite a scarce book.
