Add to basketWrappers. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. The wrappers extend some 1/2 inch beyond the contents, so there is wear to the extended portions. Perhaps it would have been wise to order a copy of the limited hard-cover version @ $15 as offered in a note laid in to the catalogue. Too late, I fear.

Add to basketPaperback. Condition: Very Good. 1st Trade Edition; 1st Printing. This is an oversized paperback book with cardstock covers and a string bound spine The book is in Very Good condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The covers have yapped edges, which, unfortunately, have some bumping, wear and small edge nicks. The text p…ages are clean and bright. The rear endpaper has a previous owner's inked notations about particular books. Laid in is a large single-fold brochure with a notice about David Magee's bookshop moving to FIllmore street. "The Grabhorn brothers, Robert and Edwin, began printing in their hometown of Indianapolis around 1912. Their Indiana efforts never attracted much notice, but in 1919 they moved to San Francisco and opened the Grabhorn Press, which at first focused on advertising and other job printing. Their handiwork attracted the interest of the Book Club of California, an organization devoted to artistic bookmaking. Through commissions for the Book Club, the Grabhorn brothers turned their attention to the printing of fine limited editions. The 1920s marked a period in American culture when there was growing interest in books as a luxury product and the Grabhorn Press became an integral part of the fine press movement." (from Connecticut College).
