Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. 160pp. In laminated card covers. 12mo. Boards very slightly rubbed at edges. Light toning on endpapers, where there is also a previous owner's bookplate and a previous owner's small label. Annotations on rear endpapers, in pencil. In its original worn dust jacket, chapped at edges. A collection of topical, satirical and humourous verse, amounting to a colloquial history of South India in the years leading up to 1960. Spencer & Co was one of the largest department stores in Asia, opening the first department store in the Indian subcontinent in 1895. Hard to find title.
