Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm, stereo vinyl "folk / rock" album, Harmony HS-11357, near-mint vinyl in a very-good-plus cardboard jacket just starting to show some ringwear near top edge. While Peter (Asher) & Gordon may have had a greater long-term impact, Chad Stewart and Jeremy Clyde were one of the more charming products of the British invasion, their lower-key, two-guitar sound actually finding wider acceptance in the U.S. than in the U.K. While "Yesterday's Gone" (1963) was their only U.K. hit, "A Summer Song" and "Willow Weep For Me" climbed to No. 7 and No. 15, respectively, on the U.S. charts in 1964. This later, 1969 release features none of those, but does offer the duo's covers of Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man," Gordon Lightfoot's "Early Mornin' Rain," and Paul Simon's "Homeward Bound." Reduced from $12.

Educating Darfur Refugees is the unforgettable journal of a Jesuit priest who spent nine months in 2004 and 2005 working in three of those refugee camps. Samway's diaries, deeply informed by his perspective as a religious scholar but as engrossing as any page-turner, are an unflinching eyewitness account of one of the greatest tragedies of our time. Charged with the considerable task of setting up schools for refugee children, Samway recounts his experiences with scarce food and water, nonexistent educational resources, and the remarkable people he encounters along the way. The life-changing story that unfolds, an engaged personal narrative capacious enough to embrace both George Bernanos and Walker Percy, is necessary reading for anyone concerned about Sudanese refugees and those who share their plight all over the world.' -- publisher.
