Condition: Good. No Edition Remarks. 80 pages. Illustrated jacket over illustrated boards with blue cloth spine. Includes photographic plates. The book of the film. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Endpapers have strips of tanning caused by jacket. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Boards a little rubbed and marked overall. Pale spotting to spine. Unclipped jacket has heavy edgewear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Jacket is slightly rubbed and marked overall. Slight water staining to rear.

Vintage studio still photograph of Edmund Gwenn, Donald Crisp, and Pal (the dog performing as Lassie) from the television release of the 1949 film, circa 1970s. Based on the 1912 novel "Greyfriars Bobby" by Eleanor Stackhouse Atkinson, which is based on the true story of Greyfriars Bobby, a 19th century Edinburgh Terrier who spent 14 years guarding the grave of his owner. When Lassie's master is killed by robbers, the collie keeps a vigil besides her master's grave, in violation of local dog laws, and her late owner's friend struggle to keep the local police and town magistrate from euthanizing the dog. Set in 1860 Scotland, shot on location in Greyfriars Churchyard, Edinburgh, Scotland. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine.
