Hardcover. xiv, 160p., followed by a doublespread photo with on-laid text, then an extensive publisher's menu of young persons' titles for sale. First edition (so stated) in 8x5.5 inch bright orange cloth boards spine- and cover-titled black. No jacket. Worn along extremities, a little card showing, lightly creased spine panel with a four-letter code handwritten beneath author line. Rims crimped somewhat. Item has map endsheets both front and rear, duplicates, consisting of a sketch showing the line of Alpine mountains with overlaid labels in English-- followed by a blank bearing an ownership in ink plus some bookdealer pencilling, then a tissue-guarded frontis photo. Contents pages list at least sixty pictures. The sole damage in the text is to the rear endsheet map, which has a nasty small tear and the beginning of a crack along the hinge. All in all a good (good-only) copy, most features being in excellent shape. Very nearly an adult-level book, but the type is oversize, and the book's size is smallish.
