The author presents himself on the front wrapper as "Poète et promoteur de la résistance à Paris (14 Juin 1940 - 3 Septembre 1944)" The printed dedication is a memorial to other figures in the French Resistance. Full page ink inscription (in English) signed by the author and dated "1.11.1949" on the half title. Inserted printed errata sheet. Wrappers toned around the edges, with some wear at the tips of the spine and corners -- text pages toned throughout (and mostly unopened) -- printed on paper of indifferent quality. Scarce. There are two OCLC numbers, each recording a single copy: [OCLC: 458358291: Bibliotheque Nationale de France; and OCLC: 42817819: Indiana University]. The author was best known as an artist in his later years. The French State owns at least one of his paintings. [See listing in the "Inventaire général du patrimoine culturel" -- tableau et son cadre : 'Paris, vue de Meudon.'
