Large 8vo, pictorial boards, illustrated, 412 pp. Some edgewear, a couple of chips along edge, hinges weak, especially top hinge, slight fading. normal aging and browning: otherwise very good. This children's book series was started by John Erskine Clark (1827-1920) in the late 1860s. Each book contains children's stories, and some wonderful illustrations, some of which are in color, especially in the later issues.
