First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good/Near Fine. 1st Edition. 8vo., 255pp. Beautiful First Edition of this uncommon anthology. Correct "First Published . . 1939" stated on copyright page though Hubin states 1938 and the November, 1939 reprint shows November, 1938 as publication. But this is certainly the true First Edition. Bound in burgundy cloth with titles in blue on and spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with a touch of wear to the spine ends but quite mild. Very well-preserved. Equally attractive unclipped dust-jacket, (correct 4' net price on spine panel), has a few short closed edge-tears and a couple of miniscule nicks to the spine ends. Still fresh and bright and quite uncommon in such nice condition. A gorgeous collectable copy. (Hubin, p. 305).
