Cloth. Condition: Very Good. J. G. Chapman (illustrator). Green cloth bordered in blind with gilt to front and spine. Five volumes, with three stories in each. Dunigans Popular Library of Instruction and Amusement; illustrated throughout by J.G. Chapman. Title pages and pagination for each story. Stories range in length from 30 to 70 pages. Extremities lightly rubbed, with small chip off near head of spine of one volume; old ownership signature to first front free endpaper; one volume lacking the first front free endpaper. Bindings are sound. P.J. Kenedy ads at rear of each volume, in which is listed Schmid's Exquisite Tales in six volumes. offered here are five volumes. Edward Dunigan copyright date is 1849; no specific date of printing noted. Bookseller's ticket of Nicholas M. Williams of Boston to rear pastedown.
